PROJECT: MK2 16V CARB DIET

volkswagen golf 16v carb build

I Purchased this 1991 golf with 78000km original km which had been sitting in a garage for 10yrs. it made for a perfect base to convert the lonely 1.8 8V with 90hp to a stout 2.0 16v high compression 16v with weber 45s.

the build started with the motor and has now become a full mechanical restoration with every moving part either being replaced, coated and or upgraded. below is a full list of upgrades currently completed on the car. im sure im forgetting a few things but it hasn’t been completed just yet so the list will continue to grow ….
